Hello,

My name is István, I am an enthusiastic self-employed software engineer. I am highly interested in everything related to information technology - starting right from elementary school.

I have a passion for creating and implementing working software mechanisms, and leveraging available technology to provide solutions for real life use case scenarios - be it on the scale of the website of a local business, an Android application, or a cloud software serving thousands of people.

Professional attitude

As a generalist, I tend to be agnostic about programming languages, frameworks, and toolkits, for I like to focus on those properties and techniques of these tools which are commonly reappearing among many of them. I am a strong advocator of training those skills which can be transferred from technology to technology, such as maintaining a clean code base.

Next steps

In an effort to find intensive professional challenges, I decided to continue my career path as a contractor. I am looking for opportunities ranging from 3-12 months in length.

Hobbies and personality

Outside of work I am a baritone of a local choir. I also like riding my bike, and occasionally hiking. I am a huge of the book series The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy written by Douglas Adams and XKCD comics, and I love reading informative books on economics, psychology and sociology.

Although not everyone likes my sarcastic sense of humor, I always look forward to provide the best service for all my clients - offering not only an IT solution, but also a solution for a business requirement.
